The new post of “Meme Manager” on Instagram is still vacant

If you are a fan of social networks (and the Internet in general) you will know what I am talking about if I say the word meme. Surely you have your favorites, the ones you use most often and the ones that make you the funniest.

You will see them on Twitter (kicking), they will come to you on WhatsApp and you may even follow several Instagram accounts that only publish that type of content.

If you do not know what we mean when we talk about a meme, we will clarify it by talking with Javier del campo, a social media expert at the Wild Wild Web digital agency so you have no doubts.

What is a meme?

An internet meme is an idea, concept, expression or response offered through a single element in the form of an image, gif or micro-video, and that as a general rule, usually comes in a humorous way.
It is born quickly and becomes viral until it reaches thousands of users who understand the reference with just a glance. Some become mythical, like Heidi’s throwing Clara, the distracted boyfriend or this little video of the contestant of a reality show (which suits us for everything).

Others appear of something that is a trend and that is fashionable at that time, as happened with all of Keanu Reeves after the presentation of the video game Cyberpunk 2077. There are even those who use old images to talk about current issues.

The new vacant post on Instagram: Meme Manager

But it is not something that, until now, the company of Mark Zuckerberg liked it very much. In fact, less than a month ago, it eliminated 142 memes accounts, as users did not like anything. Now the thing has changed because Instagram is looking for its first “Meme manager”, a person who will work specifically with memes accounts.

According to CNET, the position will consist of designing alliance strategies with memes accounts and emerging digital publishers of this type of content.

If you are one of those people who enjoy social networks, who lives life through memes, and who knows what is in fashion at all times, perhaps this is the opportunity to get the job of your life: the post of Memes supervisor could be yours.
