Virtual Reality is finding its position in the heart of all discoveries and developments at a rapid speed. Now with more companies funding in Virtual Reality, it is quickly evolving into a growing trend. The future of entertainment is proceeding at a phenomenal speed as technology continues to grow. So Virtual Reality is exactly changing the way we experience different forms of entertainment.

VR Gaming

The most noticeable and demonstrated use of Virtual Reality has been in the field of gaming. VR offers an inviting experience for its users by imparting a new level of excellence. VR games are launched for consoles like PlayStation and on Steam for PC gaming. They allow a person to experience a 3D entertainment environment and interact with it while playing. The result is impressive games like Pokémon GO, Batman: Arkham VR, or Resident Evil. Not just video games, VR is already changing and expanding the way online gamblers can play at casino online.

Virtual Museums and Galleries

With VR in museums, interactive exhibitions, and galleries, everyone’s attitudes towards any such heritage sites are beginning to change. British Museum had introduced a VR experience for the users worldwide to experience a fully-immersed virtual tour using a Virtual Reality Headset. You can install Google Arts & Culture App on your iOS and Android, and with the use of a VR viewer like Google Cardboard, you can enjoy a virtual tour of so many sites without leaving your home.

Social Media Experiences

Even the technology giants like Facebook and Microsoft are launching new VR handsets to democratize this technology and are heavily promoting it. Social media giants offer a platform where players can attend live concerts halfway across the globe, or comedy shows, or meet people, all through Virtual Reality. This further points to how voluntarily people are ready to embrace grab reality technology for innovative experiences.

Sports

Recently, 360-degree cameras are being utilized to capture and stream sporting events in Virtual Reality. It would soon be practicable to teleport to the stadium and watch a live match without having to deal with a rowdy crowd. The Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games promised live VR streaming and partially succeeded in its attempt as not the whole event could be live-streamed.
